One of the most pleasing aspects of creating a new exhibition is discovering how the artists interpret the call. While sometimes we ask for a very specific type of response to a subject, Out of the Blue was a theme designed to take the exhibition into unknown and unexpected artistic territories. Not only did we want our artists to explore the many wonderful shades and shapes of the color blue, but to also find an unexpected and left-field interpretations of the phrase.

 

So, we are delighted to present a new exhibition that delivers so well. A wonderful range of styles, media, stories, and emotions, as well as a  plethora of deeply personal explorations. We hope you enjoy the breadth and depth of Out of the Blue and are, in your own way, inspired by what you see.
