Cultural Center’s New KINETIC Exhibit is All About Movement 36 artists from across the U.S. featured
For Immediate Release March 13, 2023 SOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass—The Cultural Center of Cape Cod is presenting KINETIC, a new art exhibition running through April 8. Kinetic art moves or has an element of motion. Artists may represent movement, create movement through the use of motors, or structure a work to respond to the natural movement of air currents. “We are really excited to present this exhibit,” said Cultural Center Executive Director Molly Demeulenaere. “I like to surprise guests when they walk into the gallery, and this show does that with endless oscillation and ethereal sophistication.” This juried exhibition features works from 36 artists from across the country and is curated into a collection of 2D and 3D work, including sculpture, assemblages, sound recordings, film, paintings and even puppetry. Visitors will experience artistry and craftsmanship often reserved for large, urban museums. Media photos are available here.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to our amazing sponsors, Cape Cod 5, Town of Yarmouth Tourism Revenue Preservation Fund, and Mass Cultural Council for their unwavering support of this exhibition. Without their generous contributions, this event would not have been possible. We are truly humbled and appreciative of their commitment to the arts and the community. Thank you!
